ClassPass is officially in San Diego!

I’ve lived in San Diego for almost a year and cost of living here is definitely higher than in a lot of parts of the country. So, when looking for places to workout, it should come as no surprise that many of the fitness studios I’ve looked at cost over $200 for a monthly membership. Definitely not something I can afford or feel like spending that kind of money on, especially when the variety at a lot of studios is limited, and the weather in San Diego is so nice that I can run outside year-round.

But not having a gym membership has its downside too! I miss lifting weights, would love to try a barre class, and while I love free yoga on the beach, I really enjoy and miss hot yoga.

So when ClassPass contacted me to let me know about their launch in San Diego, I was thrilled!

For $99 a month, you get unlimited classes at a variety of participating studios all around San Diego.

For someone who tends to get bored fairly easily, and who thrives off of variety, this is perfect for me. And since ClassPass offers classes for things I haven’t taken before (like barre and reformer pilates), I love that ClassPass makes sure its participating studios have classes for beginners too.

For those of you in San Diego, I definitely think it’s worth trying out! And for those of you who don’t live here, you’ll be happy to know that ClassPass is also located in NYC, Boston, San Francisco, LA, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Seattle. And, ClassPass just introduced ClassPass Flex, where you can take classes at any participating studio in any of the aforementioned cities.

Interested in trying ClassPass but want to know more? Check out their website or see the FAQ for all the information you need on your membership.

What’s your favorite kind of workout? Anything you think I should try out this month?

  1. I’m looking into San Diego as a potential place to do one of my rotations, and was wondering what to do about a gym (+ living situation too, but y’know, priorities). This would be awesome!

    1. So even if San Diego had no gyms…you should still do a rotation here because it’s the best city ever. Lucky for you it has a lot of gyms (and free classes as well, such as free yoga on the beach on the weekends, or in Balboa Park), and beautiful weather year-round!

      1. Ahhh! ❤ I definitely wouldn't disagree! Pretty much the only drawback for me at the moment is the cost of living, but the tradeoff makes it seem rather worth it!
