this weekend in san diego

This Weekend in San Diego: December 5-7

Can you believe it’s already December?

I’m still in awe over the fact that I’ve been living here for a year already. Life is really crazy sometimes.

But before I get too introspective for this Friday morning, let’s get to the good stuff. Here are three events I think are worth checking out:

Balboa Park December Nights (event website)

Friday, 3:00-11:00 pm
Saturday, 12:00-11:00 pm

Not only is Balboa Park opening up a bunch of its museums and offering free admission, but there will also be food, drinks, music, dancing and, my favorite, holiday decorations! This is just the beginning for San Diego holiday events, but I have a feeling it’s going to be one of the best.

Girls on the Run 5K (event website)

Saturday, 9:00 am

Girls on the Run is a pretty wonderful organization. If you’re not familiar with it, I highly recommend that you go and read more about it. This 5k is a celebratory race for girls who have been working hard to reach this goal for months. Note that the expo opens at 7:30 am, but the race doesn’t start until 9:00 am.

Ugly Sweater Pub Crawls (event website)

Saturday and Sunday, 12:00-5:00 pm

Bring your ugly sweater and get ready for an afternoon of (probably literally after a couple of hours) crawling to various bars. Saturday’s crawl will take place in Gaslamp, and Sunday’s will be in Pacific Beach. What’s better than day drinking and ugly Christmas sweaters?

And with that, I’m off to work. Happy Friday! So close to the weekend!

What are you doing this weekend? Any exciting plans?

    1. Next weekend we are doing our peppermint whoopie pies and playing Christmas music and I’m also deciding that we are watching Christmas movies/shows.
